Great tool for Fiber cement siding

I was a bit leery at first, not sure it would work properly on a 18v plus drill. Boy was I wrong. This tool is a must have for Fiber cement siding. It is quiet, smooth, and quick. No Dust, and no flying particles. I was amazed at the tools performance. It cuts curves perfectly, as long as you can keep a straight line, and it makes cutting the boards a breeze. I cannot say enough great things about this tool. This was our first attempt at installing fiber cement siding on our new house, and the tool help take a bit of the stress away. I love it. The dual sided handle makes it great for stability.

Worth it!

I bought this tool to cut cement fiberboard siding because I didn't want to deal with the dust you get with a saw, and I'm glad I did. While a saw might give a perfectly clean cut, the need for a vacuum, dust mask, and goggles would have made it less convenient.

This shear/nibbler takes a little practice, but after a couple of cuts, you get very nice results. It's not difficult to produce cuts to within 1/8th inch, and often to within 1/16th inch accuracy. You can also make respectable curve cuts, and the amount of dust produced is minimal. The slightly furry edge of the cuts can be smoothed with a small sure-form rasp if needed. Remember to prime all cuts before installation, as cement fiberboard absorbs water and caulking will adhere much better to primed material.

The shear has performed excellently throughout my siding project, still cutting like new after about 100 planks, including several long rip cuts. If you're only doing a small-to-medium sized siding project, this tool will do the job to your satisfaction. I'm glad I bought it.

Fantastic and easy to use.

Well worth the money. This made cutting concrete fiber boards so easy. I had a scoring tool before that I was using to cut fiber cement, but I would wear myself out and just within an hour or two. Using this I can cut fiber cement board all day long. And you can make custom cuts with it . Highly recommend this tool.

awesome

I bought this to cut siding, works okay for that but really impressed me with cutting circles and 3x5 sheets of 1/4" for tile. I usually need to take my cuts outside with a grinder, but with Pac-tool everything was cut inside without the dust!

Cuts very easily!

I used this to cut Cement Siding 4' x 8' Panels. No problem at all! It cut so easily and clean. I did lift the rear end just a tad as someone here suggested and it just glided along nicely!
