• First, remove the safety pin on the lever and lift the latch on the bottom. While doing this open the secondary safety latch at the same time and begin to swing the rack outward.
• Next is to continue swinging the rack until it reaches a full 90 degrees. The swing base will automatically lock into place when fully open giving you full access to your trunk or hatch.
• Lastly, pull the release lever and swing everything back toward your vehicle. Once aligned the secondary latch will automatically catch. Then resecure the bottom latch and insert the safety pin and you're ready to hit the road.
