📝 HOW TO USE THIS?


  1. Bore a hole in the plug so the puller can thread in tightly. 

  2.  Turn the puller spindle to remove the plug. 

  3. Find the necessary sized tool that fits the new plug. 

  4. Screw the clamping piece in place to hold the chrome arm and the fitting tool in place. 

  5. Place the tool against the plug. Hit heavily with a 32 to 40 oz hammer until the tool contacts the block.

Good quality tool

I purchased this tool to complete the other plugs and finished three more in the same amount of time as it took to do one without the tool. It is a well made quality tool including a sturdy case. I did not have to modify tool in any way and the handle appears to be made of descent grade steel and I feel you would have to use it quite a bit or be whaling on it before it mushroomed too much for collar to fit over handle.

Good tool

This is a quality low cost set that worked flawlessly for a weekend "shade tree" mechanic. I had a leaky freeze plug in my Mercedes 300TD and I used this set to pull the bad plug and install a new one with the engine in the vehicle and without having to pull the intake and exhaust manifolds.

Where has this been all my life?

This is a fantastic tool and something that should be in every shop. It allows you to replace freeze plugs in an engine while still in the vehicle. The tool seems to be very well made and very useful.
